I’m thinking I should update this more often.

I got a blog on Scribblers Abode so I’ve been updating that mainly…and I’ve been meaning to get a blog on Fictional Faction…

Well, I’ll just copy and paste what happened last month from my Scribblers Blog.
BUT FIRST…

I just want to let you know that my final word count for NaNoWriMo.org, was 20,423 words. Grey Area is far from complete and I really hate that I failed, but I’ll get to 50,000 words either in JulyWriMo or next NaNoWriMo.

Yes, I’m very mad at myself. D’;

But I’ll deal.

Speaking of Grey Area, my total word count is: 0. Frick, I need to start writing. I couldn’t last night ’cause I was uninspired from the junk and candy I ate, I couldn’t this morning because I was sleeping, eating breakfast, or jogging, and I couldn’t earlier this afternoon because I was lazy.
And I can’t now because I’m going biking for a half hour.
I’m gonna be writing all day as soon as I get home, provided I don’t reach a hateful part. xP

In case you’re wondering, the icons at the beginning of each post are all by me. xP You can use them…although I doubt you want to. For more, just click “icons” in my siggy or scroll up to my last post in this blog.

Anyways, I made improvement on Grey Area. I now have 1,740 words. XP I’ll get to 5,000 by the end of the day…wait, it’s 3:18 and I didn’t start my homework so…I’m doomed XP Nah, I’ll still try….

Here’s a snippet from what I wrote today:

“Relax, idiot, the pill is completely natural. It’s not going to hurt you. If it would, the government would never allow it. Just ask anyone here.”
I huffed and shut my eyes tightly, crossing my arms across my chest.
Yeah right, I think. But it doesn’t matter anyway. I’m never going to get to that point. I was confident about that. Never in my seventeen years of breathing or my five years of doing anything and everything I wanted did I ever get to that point, and I wasn’t about to. But then again, never in those years did I ever get caught and captured by the government…
“Hm, well as I was saying, after that, you go back to your room with nothing to do but stare at the walls or read the newspaper. Enjoy what you get because you’re never getting out of here, Dryer,” he says angrily and self-assuredly.
Sure, I think. Of course I’m going to stay here forever. That was when he turned around to open the door.
A smile curled upon my lips and I sprang.

blechhh, trust me on this, it gets sooo much better after the flashback (that’s part of the flashback btw). And a man named Ethan Gates, my lover XD will make an appearance.
Dang it, [] will [] [] [] that. Each [] stands for a word or name btw. I can’t tell you what they stand for until I get to that part in the story XD

I’m still awaiting the Uglies series. >_> I can’t believe I still haven’t read it yet…Oh well. XD I’m going to go to B&N this weekend though so I’ll read it/probably buy it there. I’m gonna go there by bike, which’ll be good for me. XP

Ah, can you believe I can’t write. As in, cannot. I’m going to write nonstop this weekend though so I’ll make up all the days I’m missing. xP

And go Obama! I’m so glad he won. I remember McCain said something like “I’ll be the next George Bush” or something like that. Well, it was that, just not in those exact words, but definitely direct enough where he wasn’t just implying it. xP Plus, I like Obama. He wants to give tax deductions to the middle class, and actually create change. Bush…yeah, he’s stupid. xP It’s because of him and his father that no nation in the world looks up to us and the inflation and the prices and everything are so bad. With Obama, I’d be happy. xP To me, McCain…well, I don’t hate him, but he seems too much like a Bush to me. I dunno. I’m not the most informed person, but that’s what my parents said anyway, and they’re pretty informed I’d say (well, they don’t tell me everything about ‘em, mostly ’cause I don’t ask. XP).

Also, I find it surprising to say that I actually like politics. I always thought I hated it, but now I realize I love it. XD I’m a very opinionated person so that’s why.

Hm, I made new icons. Woah. XP All the images are from DeviantART.com. Love that site. I remember an our after we found out that Obama won, there were already pictures of Obama saying he won and whatnot, but that’s not why I love the site. XP It just reminded me of that. Oh, and Wiki updates fast, by the way. You can find Obama’s wiki page and see that he’s president. xP

As some of you may know, I live in California (go warm weather XP but then again, I like how it is now. Kinda cold but not shivering though it is for some. I find that I can handle the cold better). As some of you may know, people voted on Prop 8 here which was on banning gay marriage. Bleh. For the record, I am straight, but I just don’t see how discriminating others because of the fact they’re attracted to the same sex is fair. It isn’t. At all. It’s the same with racism. Who cares if they’re black, white, etc.? They’re still human and they can still have redeeming qualities and a great personality. Same thing with gay people. Honestly…
Well, at least prop five and two were passed. x] Prop 2 was about stuff like not enough space for chickens on farm, etc. (as in abuse XP). I forgot what prop 5 was but I know that what I wanted when I knew what it was won. xP I dunno about the others, but I’ll find out eventually.

On another note, I’m tired. xP And it’s only 5:36…eh.

Not much to say I suppose. Besides that I got a low B on my math test. Bleh. I’m supposed to be smart in math. Even my teacher said that. He mentioned it to the whole class (“Anyone cruise this class like other classes? *pause* Alexandria? She gets A’s on her exams” XP). And yet…bleh. And most people got A’s so now I feel stupid. XP Well, not stupid, but…I dunno.

Well, I found my mp3 player. XD See, I had gotten it for my birthday two years ago and only put like twenty songs on it…I found it two days ago haha. I now have 223 songs on it. (what’s with all the two’s? XD). haha. More to come.

Nano’s…slow. I’m way behind. I’m gonna try to catch up this week, but we’ll see. Blehh.

I’ve been working on a poem for the past two days, but procrastinating and not really finding the right words. XP Oh well. I’ll keep trying haha.

Okay, I am BEYOND furious right now…well, I was furious about it before, but my mom’s talking about this to a friend so the anger’s been resurfaced. ;P

You know how a while ago there was a stock market crash…and millions of jobs were lost…and now America’s in a depression which might even be worse than the last one…well…
I’ve lost freaking half of my college fund.
HALF.
I now have around freaking $10,000 in my college fund.
FREAKING TEN THOUSAND.
How the [censored] am I going to college now? I’m freaking fourteen. I don’t think my parents can get enough money by the time it’s time I go off to college. And even with my 4.0 GPA, I don’t think I can necessarily get a scholarship.
So now that brings me to…
Publishing.
Blah, I’m starting now SERIOUSLY consider getting published sooner…I mean, I’ve always wanted to publish my writings, because I absolutely love writing (as in that’s the only thing I’m sure of for when I grow up XP) but I just thought “someday…when I’m older and a better writer”…now I’m hoping that’ll be much sooner so I can actually afford college XP
In case you’re wondering by the way what I want to be…well, I obviously want to be an author XP, and I’m also deciding between being a lawyer(because I can make a good argument and can catch things others don’t usually see right away), a politician(because I want so bad to change this messed up world), or a teacher(because when I was little, I remember playing teacher and loved it XD). So yeah. And for those jobs, I think I’d need to go to college. ;P
Which brings me to another point…
I hate Bush!!
He messed up our economy and because of him, we now owe billions in debt. Which is a problem since Obama (I’m so glad he won by the way! ) can’t necessarily create change if America doesn’t have money. And he definitely couldn’t make the taxes go higher for the middle class…Well, he could, but then more would loose their homes, etc.
Blehh. D:<

Yeah, which brings me to the fact that I am apparently a little bit OCD. At the ends of some of the questions was a “:” and I had to delete them. XD

Anyways, eh, I have a best friend at school who’s really bugging me. We used to be really close and occasionally she’d bug the hell out of me, but now…now I realize she’s turning into a self-centered, attention-seeking snob. Blech. Third friend I’ve had like that. *sigh* At least I have other friends and best friends…but still. She’s the only person besides you Scribblers I’m willing to share my writings with…well, I have two other friends I kinda share them with, but I don’t really talk to them as much anymore. We aren’t really in many classes anymore and one of them moved and I dunno…eh.

NaNo’s going…terribly. Still behind. -_- Blehh. I WILL get caught up by the end of the month though. XP XD
Here’s a random excerpt from the less-than-good-or-interesting-beginning:

In a matter of seconds, I hear a blaring siren ring throughout the halls. I take my chance and shoot the warden, irritated that things were backfiring on me. Sticky, crimson blood seeps from his neck and he lets out a piercing shriek. I let him fall hard to the floor. Still holding the weapon straight out in front of me with bent knees, I scramble quickly towards the two men’s weapons, but the tanned man notices and steals one before I could get to it. I’m on my knees, still reaching for the other one when he holds it towards me neck and grasps my arms down fervently, making me drop the weapon I had already had in my hand. “Not a chance,” he whispers into my ear.
Damn.
I freeze. This is it. I loose. I was going to stay here for a while. A feeling of uneasiness shot through my stomach and my eyes bulged. This isn’t happening, I tell myself. It couldn’t.

School’s going great though. I have straight A’s, and all A+’s except in math and english.

Summary: finished, the notebook, wishlist, laptop nearly dying, sims 2 not working, finish homework

So I finished Stargirl. It was pretty good. I dunno why I got it, well, I kind of do because a librarian recommended it but still. XP

I’ve made progress on Grey Area, so that’s good. Still not caught up though. DX I wasted Saturday away. Blehh.

Um, I’m watching The Notebook now. Sad, beautiful XD I love it.

Since Christmas is coming up (XD), here’s my wishlist :

-tablet
-cell phone (darn you father who thinks it’s worthless for a 14-year-old to have XP)
-new mp3 player or ipod. mine’s full x]
-glow in the dark, roll up keyboard XD
-Sims 2 Seasons (mm, not as important really_
-4GB RAM (why just buy 2GB when I have 1? I’ll end up needing more so I’d rather just get the 4GB now thank you very much XD)
-books, money, clothes, shoes, etc.

Ah, I just remembered something I wanted to talk about. My laptop almost died today. See, apparently it ran out of battery ’cause it wasn’t properly plugged so me, being a spaz, started panicking when it turned off by itself and wouldn’t turn back on no matter how hard I tried. XP My dad fixed it though in like twenty seconds lol. So it’s all good now. x]

I discovered something the other day. If you have Windows, go to start > control panel > programs > windows sidebar properties. It’s love I tell you XD I can now listen to YouTube vids and watch them on my desktop without having to load Mozilla Firefox. I can also see the weather there and I have a to-do list.

I have sad news. XP My Sims 2 hasn’t been working for a month. lol. I’m waiting for my dad to find some reasonably priced 4BG of RAM (he’s been searching for a few days now lol. With the stockmarket crash and stuff, some shops are closing so some of the reasonably priced places are out XP). He doesn’t know I download custom content on *my* laptop. It’s because if he’d find out, he’d scold me and remind about how on my old laptop, my computer died because of it. XP i downloaded from the sims2.com back then. o.o meh, well, the majority of my present downloads are from my old laptop, i just backed them up on a disc and placed them on here. Now, I await the day I can play again XP
(btw, if something seems out of place in what I just did, it’s because I just left like a half hour to watch The Notebook and came back during commercial break XD)

Meh, now I need to finish my english and science papers. Bye-bye. XD

Reading: o.o Um, I think I will go librarying tomorrow…yeah, I probably should, since it’s the same as the last entry and the one before that…never mind that librarying isn’t a word.
Summary: Twilight, NaNoWriMo status not good, sent badges and sending more to Scribblers members, was sick this week, laptop fixed and now getting a new desktop for Christmas, awesome friends, volleyball switcheroo in playing ability between a friend and I, short nails, A on math prequiz which most got considerably lower on.

Twilight came out today. But I didn’t see it. XP I’m gonna go see it next week with a couple of friends. Hm, well from what I’ve heard here, it’s famazing, but from the clips I’ve seen and the reviews I’ve read, it’s bad to okay. So I dunno, I think it’ll probably be okay, but…
I dunno. I’ve seen some clips that make me think it’s amazing and some that make think it’s bad. So I guess I just won’t know until I see it.

Gah, I am SO behind on NaNo. Not even gonna say my word count. It’s too embarressing. But I will catch up to at least twenty five thousand by this Sunday…maybe, depending on how quickly I get done with the crapload of homework my science teacher assigned -_- If you read this Science Teacher, know that you are nice, but you were very mean this weekend XD

Anywho, I sent bundles of badges to 6 people yesterday and today. I’m gonna send a few more tomorrow since the limit per day is 10 and I think that’ll be it…

Never mind that I’m doing terrible transitions between topics (XD), but um, I was sick this week. Blew my nose a ton and had a sore throat and coughed a little. I’m much better now and only waste about five tissues a day and cough about five times a day, but still.

Speaking of illnesses, my laptop was sick this week (XP). It kept heating up and turning off by itself so I didn’t write for a few days, not being able to. So my dad took my laptop into the shop on Tuesday or something and now it’s all fixed. <3 Even better news is that I”m getting a new desktop XDD And the tradition lives! See, two years ago I got a new laptop to replace my old one (it was one from like 2000 or something so it was worth replacing). Then I got a new one last year. And both happened around October. Now, it continues except I’m probably not getting a new one next year and I’m getting my desktop probably for Christmas since it takes a while to sell a laptop (i’m selling this one, yes) and last times, I just got them around October like I said. I’m happy

Ah there were other things I wanted to say too but my mind’s a bit jumbled. Um, my friends are awesome…? Haha, they seriously are the crazies people..No wait, that’s a lie. I’m the crazy one. They’re still crazy but not as crazy as me and we all accept that XD Take this for example: a few weeks ago, two of my best friends and I went to a park near our school and videotaped each other. In one vid, me and one of the best friends, Viv, and I were chasing each other and I watched it the other day pausing it (on my awesome kodak digital camera_ and let me tell you, I was laughing like every two seconds XD It was the most hilarious thing ever! All the expressions, awkward positions, things the wind did to make it even funnier…lmao. I promised to bring my camera to school yesterday and today to show them but I kept forgetting. -_-

Another random thing is that in PE, our unit is volleyball, and let me tell ya, usually, I rock at it, but yesterday I was soo bad XD I was just as bad as one of my other best friends, Kate. Don’t get me wrong, she’s an awesome friend but she’s just not good at volleyball XD (i don’t mean this in a bad way btw, we joked about it and she’s the type of person not to be offended by that, as long as we’re not really insulting her) and yesterday, it was kind of switched a little bit because yesterday, I wasn’t really good and she was better. lol.

You know what sucks? That because you play the violin, it automatically means you ahve to have short nails. -_- lol, I’ve had LONG (trust me, long) nails for years and the fact that I have to cut them is just sad lol. Never mind that I’ve been playing for five years. XPP

I got an A on my math prequiz! Whoot! That’s a good thing considering most got considerably lower, heh.

I can’t believe she’s dead…
When I first saw the thread title, I thought it was like a prank…or something…
but then…
It still hasn’t sunk in.
The thought that someone so young, so sweet, so talented, is gone. Forever.
I’m really gonna miss you Fayne, as will many others.
I prayed for her and her family. Gosh, it’s just…
Unbelievable and terrible. That’s the best way to describe it I guess.
I thought about her a lot today and it well, made me sad of course. I remember thinking how I wished that if she had to be in that car accident, that she could have just gotten into some sort of short-term coma…and then be alright. And happy. And alive.
But she’s not. But I wish she was.
Granted, Fayne and I weren’t really close friends, but we kind of were. I remember that she was always funny and excited and just plain…cool. She was awesome, and still is. I cried some yesterday. I wish she didn’t die.
We’ll miss you, Fayne. You’ll remain in our hearts forever. </3
